The Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts has a complete list of policies listed in the Academic Calendar which is available at the MCPA office and can also be downloaded from the MCPA website (www.maritimeconservatory.com). There are policies regarding account status, missed lessons, unscheduled closings, insufficient enrollment and consideration of others. There is also information available on the policy concerning the Option to Withdraw from classes.
STORM POLICY
If HRM schools are cancelled, all lessons and classes are automatically cancelled for the morning and classes will be re-evaluated at noon. If re-opening, classes will commence at 1 pm. Call the information line (902.423.6995) for updates on closure status. If possible, information will be posted on this site as well. On weekends, or when poor weather conditions develop during the school day/early evening, calling the information line is your best means of confirming MCPA’s closure status. Please call before you head to MCPA!
In the event that the MCPA is closed due to conditions beyond our control, such as severe weather, classes will not be re-scheduled and refunds will not be issued.
