Photo Days 2012
Tuesday, June 5th and Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 – an opportunity for all students performing in our annual recitals to be photographed in their costumes. Tentative schedule below.
Please arrive for photos at least 20 minutes early with hair and makeup done. We will not apply make up or do hair for students. Please style hair as you would for a performance. Dancers should not wear jewelry (unless for religious/cultural reasons), scrunchies, shiny barrettes, or flowery clips, etc. Female students should wear long hair in a bun, students with short hair should have it styled off face. No underwear under tights, please. Stage make up is not required – the lighting for the photographs is excellent, so dancers should consider lighter make up for photos.
We cannot hold photo times for late students. Last year, several dancers missed their time slots – they were not included in group photos as a result.
Teachers will have costumes at the studio for the dancers. If you have a slow dresser, plan to arrive earlier. As with recital, be sure to pack tights and dance shoes, etc. Legs and feet will be visible in the photos. Costumes should be left with your teacher immediately following photos.
Order forms for photos are available from teachers and will be on hand on photo day. Parents are not permitted to enter the photo room when pictures are being taken – faculty members will accompany the dancers. Payments should accompany dancers when they enter the photo room (studio 7A). Please remember that School of Dance faculty do not have specific information on photo packages or pricing.
